Video Thing runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server.

Video Thing uses the camera and the microphone as live inputs to the video mix. Camera frames and microphone audio are processed on-device for the picture and the audio-reactive parameter routing. Nothing captured is uploaded, shared, or retained beyond the current session unless you press record.

Recording writes the finished mix to your Photos library on your device. The app requests Photos add-only permission to save recordings; it does not read or scan the rest of your library. Clips you load into the app are read from your Photos library only while the app is open, and only the clips you select.

Video Thing contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no in-app purchases, and no user accounts. The app does not connect to the internet.
